Accountabilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
- Test-drive vehicles, test components and systems, use diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle systems; engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, AC conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors to ensure customers are fully informed of all service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Knowledge & Skills
- 3+ years of Transmission Technician Experience
- Must be Ford/Lincoln Certified
- B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
- Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating or repairing vehicles and equipment
Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ASE certifications a must
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, push, and pull
- Able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds and assist in lifting up to one hundred (100) pounds
- Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks and drug test

Pay

Schedule
- Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday (40 hours/week)
