Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles while ensuring excellent customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to quality work.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair automotive issues including, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems accurately.
  • Provide customers with accurate service recommendations based on diagnostics and inspections.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets safety standards and Colony Tire's quality expectations.
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces, adhering to Colony Tires safety and cleanliness protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members regarding repairs, parts needs, and any additional service recommendations.
  • Follow up on repair orders and maintain detailed service records.
  • Stay up to date with new automotive technology, service procedures, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and technology.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and repair tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

  • Ability to stand for long periods, work with hands, and lift up to 100 lbs.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally.
  • Employees frequently work with dirty and greasy parts and in awkward positions.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent, and/or related experience is preferred but not required.
