Responsibilities
- Perform installation or service work as designated in a profitable and proper manner.
- Record productive time versus travel time.
- Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with the service program designated for specific customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedures.
- Stay updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
- Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition.
- Present a neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain an adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle; keep an inventory log.
- Test equipment before leaving the job site; perform a safety check.
- Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
- Assist and instruct others in installation/service methods.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
- Ability to lift 75-100 lbs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to sit while driving for periods of up to 2 hours.
- Ability to stand on concrete for periods of up to 8 hours.
- Ability to stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and twist the spine occasionally.
- Vision sufficient for near, far, and color perception.
- Ability to work in various climates.
- Flexible work schedule with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the construction industry or electrical field.
- Prior experience servicing automated doors, glazing, installing glass, installing door frames, building door frames, reading blueprints.
- AAADM Certification.
