Responsibilities
- Support automated welding operations for semiconductor construction and high-purity piping systems.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain automated/orbital welding equipment as assigned.
- Follow welding procedures, project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Absorb preparation of pipe, tubing, fittings, and welding materials.
- Support weld inspection preparation, documentation, and QA/QC follow-up.
- Maintain welding quality and report issues, defects, or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Cook with field supervisors, QA/QC teams, engineers, and project personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area.
- Follow PPE, chemical, cleanroom, fab, and site-specific safety requirements as applicable.
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment or process issues as needed.
- Perform additional welding, field support, and installation duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior welding, automated welding, orbital welding, pipefitting, mechanical installation, or industrial construction experience preferred.
- Semiconductor, high-purity piping, cleanroom, gas/chemical piping, or high-tech facility experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with welding procedures, inspection standards, and field documentation is a plus.
- Able to follow detailed work instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Comfortable working in active construction or industrial environments.
- Able to stand, walk, lift, and perform hands-on field work for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work well with field teams.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
- Mandarin-English bilingual ability is a plus.
