Automated Test Engineer Expert
Leidos is seeking a Test Engineer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM/ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management. The Test Engineer will support the test of access control systems for a government customer, ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Work with design engineers, production personnel, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and develop verification methods for system, subsystem, and component-level requirements.
- Investigate problems referred by customer support.
- Plan, manage, and track project test efforts.
- Evaluate and develop detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Oversee and perform testing in a DevOps environment, including support after each deployment.
- Work with automated testing techniques and tools such as JUnit.
- Oversee and perform test reporting.
- Interact directly with customers, teammates, and functional peer groups.
- Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for processes, functions, system integration, and user acceptance testing, including test units and automated test scripts.
- Document the successes and failures of all executed test procedures.
- Investigate and resolve operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
- Provide technical support and advice to other engineering groups.
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of quality control and reliability programs.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS degree and 11-15 years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of software systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong, effective, and professional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience working within matrixed teams.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work without close supervision.
- Ability to take initiative in troubleshooting; creative in determining approach or action in non-routine situations.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing and/or software development.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, SQL, and Linux.
- Familiarity with standards development tools such as GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
- Experience with test automation methodologies.
- Experience conducting unit testing of software modifications.
- Experience with SecDevOps.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Katalon.
- A working understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Experience with bash shell scripting.
Pay
Pay Range: $116,350.00 - $210,325.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
