AutoCAD Technician – Water Infrastructure ~ SUS

About the role

We are looking to recruit a Civil AutoCAD technician with good UK water industry infrastructure experience. The candidate should be technically proficient, able to work with own initiative, possess a high level of independence, and have excellent communication skills.

Location: Sheffield
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £40,000

Responsibilities

• Preparation of AutoCAD drawings for various below ground water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
• Ensure compliance with company and client drawing standards.
• Ability to read and determine information from drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Be aware of work requirements and take personal responsibility in delivering drawings to agreed time and quality requirements.
• Undertaking site visits to gather information and data.
• Document control.

Requirements

• Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
• Must have water industry background.
• Knowledge and experience of wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
• Good appreciation of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.
• Good numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
• The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members.

Qualifications

• HND Civil Engineering or equivalent (desirable).

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to seek assistance when required.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met.
