AutoCAD Technician – Water Infrastructure ~ SUS
About the role
We are looking to recruit a Civil AutoCAD technician with good UK water industry infrastructure experience. The candidate should be technically proficient, able to work with own initiative, possess a high level of independence, and have excellent communication skills.
Location: Sheffield
Hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £40,000
Responsibilities
- Preparation of AutoCAD drawings for various below ground water infrastructure projects.
- Ability to develop detailed design drawings from basic outline information.
- Ensure compliance with company and client drawing standards.
- Ability to read and determine information from drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- Be aware of work requirements and take personal responsibility in delivering drawings to agreed time and quality requirements.
- Undertaking site visits to gather information and data.
- Document control.
Requirements
- Autodesk AutoCAD experience essential.
- Must have water industry background.
- Knowledge and experience of wastewater and clean water infrastructure.
- Good appreciation of design delivery, health, safety, and environmental processes.
- Good numerical, analytical, and IT skills.
- The ability to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members.
Qualifications
- HND Civil Engineering or equivalent (desirable).
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Ability to work on own initiative and to seek assistance when required.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met.
