Responsibilities
- Assist the public with titling and registering vehicles
- Process legal records and collect taxes and fees for motor vehicle titles and registrations
- Determine accuracy and completeness of required information and documents
- Determine proper registration and plates and permits to issue
- Verify that transactions and vehicles adhere to regulations
- Respond to phone inquiries regarding titling and registration
- Collect fees and reconcile funds daily
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of related experience in data entry, basic ten key, cashiering, customer service and auto titling and registration using the County or State DRIVES system
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Spanish speaking ability is preferred, but not required

- Knowledge, skills, and attributes that would be beneficial and lead to success in this role include strong customer service skills, explaining complex rules and regulations, problem solving, and experience in similar roles

Pay
Target Hiring Range: $20.62 – $23.00 USD
Additional compensation for Spanish bilingual skills is available.
Schedule
This position requires on-site/in-office work and operates on a 4-day workweek. Must be available to occasionally work at any of the five Motor Vehicle branch locations and align with their operating schedules.

Additional Job Information
- Criminal History and MVR Background Checks are required for every position
- Offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal history, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references
- A valid Colorado driver’s license is required for positions that drive on County Business in either a county or personal vehicle shall have a Colorado Driver’s license within 30-days of hire or beginning to serve as an intern or volunteer

- Must be registered to vote per Clerk & Recorder guidelines prior to 1st election after date of hire
- Sworn in as Deputy of Clerk and Recorder's Office after date of hire
