About the role
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a skilled individual to join their team as an Auto Mechanic II at the North Farm in Lexington.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, service, and repairs on farm vehicles and equipment.
- Support the crops production program.
- Aid with research projects.
- Assist with farm maintenance and other general facilities duties.
Requirements
- 4 years of related experience.
- Requires heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
- Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm (37.5 hours a week), occasional overtime required.
Qualifications
- Strong background in automotive/equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work with power tools, mechanics hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Skills
- Pesticide Applicator’s Certification (preferred).
- Customer Service experience (preferred).
