Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and determining the course of action on assigned claims using technical knowledge and experience.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and maintaining accurate documentation of coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Honoring, declining, or negotiating first- and third-party liability claims upon completion of policy investigation and analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal and external customers to establish facts and develop evidence for claims resolution.
  • Organizing and prioritizing work activities to ensure prompt and efficient claim resolution.
  • Preparing and presenting claim evaluations for appropriate settlement authority.
  • Notifying the Underwriting Department of any adverse information uncovered during investigations.
  • Ensuring compliance with unfair claim practices in applicable states.
  • Maintaining professionalism in vendor interactions while upholding the company’s reputation for quality service.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in auto liability and property damage claims or related fields.
  • Texas Licensed Adjuster - All Lines (Multi-State licensing preferred).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal, written, and phone).
  • Experience in an automated claims processing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fraud reduction practices and general knowledge of policies, file procedures, and state regulations.
  • Ability to pass written examinations required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster.
  • Non-Standard insurance experience is a plus but not required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.
  • In-office position (not available for hybrid or remote work).
