We're looking to train motivated applicants to become claims representative professionals to support our customers while independently managing claims and ensuring a swift resolution. As a claims adjuster, you'll learn how to help customers get back on the road after an accident. This is not a field position which means you'll be building relationships with customers over the phone, in a fast-paced environment. You'll learn how to efficiently resolve a heavy caseload while managing the claims process from start to finish. You'll have the support of a collaborative team and ongoing coaching from leaders. We'll also provide in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts so you can confidently and independently adjust claims.
Responsibilities
- Determine coverage
- Determine liability
- Obtain recorded statements of policyholders and other involved parties to the degree necessary to establish a liability determination
- Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
- Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
- Determine the most appropriate course for establishing extent of damages
- Review damage appraisals for accuracy and payment
- Communicate claims procedures and process to involved parties verbally and in writing
- Comply with all required reporting requirements, such as ISO, CMS, etc.
- Document activities in claim file notes in clear, complete & concise manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years of relevant work experience including:
- Auto liability claims handling
- Customer service
- Fast-paced and changing environment
- Multitasking and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills
