Auto Glass Repair Specialist

Responsibilities

• Learn and utilize industry-leading technology to repair vehicle glass.
• Complete vehicle glass repairs under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders.
• Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication using Safelite MRM technology.
• Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers.
• Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks.
• Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and necessary licenses (as required by federal, state, and local laws).
• Completion of On-the-job training and Safelite SafeTech™ certification.

Skills and Abilities

• Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods.
• Stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist body.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws.
• Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service.
• Work with chemicals (including flammable chemicals) as per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”.
• Work flexible hours to accommodate customer needs.
• Solve problems and troubleshoot issues independently and collaboratively.
• Read, write, and interpret the English language and technical directions.
• Communicate orally and written via phone and computer.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Company uniform and PPE policies.
• Work safely under professional or personal pressure and opposition.
