Auto Body Prepper (2nd Shift)

About the role

Carvana is seeking Auto Body Preppers with at least 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience to join their team as an Entry-level Auto Body Repair Technician. You will prep vehicles for paint, including sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging/tear down, and buffing, using state‑of‑the‑art tools in high‑tech Inspection Centers. Training programs are provided for entry‑level hires to help skills and pay progress with the company. Location: 15511 E 155th St, Belton, MO 64012.

Responsibilities

• Prep vehicles for paint: sanding, masking, taping, bagging, unbagging/tear down, buffing
• Operate vehicle equipment and tools safely
• Lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment, sometimes exposed to heat/cold
• Use required safety equipment (face shield/goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of professional automotive prepping experience
• At least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and tolerate varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed

Pay

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour, plus a $1 shift differential.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:30 am, with overtime opportunities.
