Autism - Community Support and Employment Professional

About the Role

Keystone Autism Services is currently seeking a Community Support and Employment Professional to join our team by providing individualized and person-directed support. Our work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and fully participate in everything society has to offer.

Responsibilities

• Teach, coach, and empower individuals with autism so they can pursue meaningful opportunities, make informed life choices, and participate as valued members of their communities.
• Serve as a positive role model, providing individualized support that helps each person build an “everyday life” — meeting new people, forming friendships, finding and maintaining employment, exercising personal choice, strengthening daily living skills, and achieving personal goals.
• Transport individuals within the community using a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One of the following:
  • A Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) credential from Association of People Supporting Employment (APSE); or
  • A Basic Employment Services Certificate of Achievement or a Professional Certificate of Achievement in Employment Services from an Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) organizational member that has ACRE-approved training; or
  • Achieve certification within nine (9) months of hire.
• Work experience in the human services field preferred.
• Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.

Pay

• $20.50 per hour ($22.50 per hour with bachelor’s degree)
