As an Insurance Authorization Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in advocating for patients by helping them navigate insurance approvals — ensuring they receive the life-changing treatment they need. This is a high-visibility role with regular collaboration between clinical teams, administrative staff, and external healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Gather and review patient documentation to verify eligibility for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatments
• Cook up and submit insurance authorization requests
• Manage and organize incoming faxes and patient documentation
• Represent and advocate for patients during clinical review calls with insurance providers
• Ensure all documentation is accurately entered into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient care

Requirements

• Strong desire to advocate for patients and ensure access to medically necessary treatment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage deadlines, multitask, and stay organized
• Strong communication skills — comfortable working with clinical staff and external providers
• High attention to detail in documenting patient and insurance information
• Confidence using online systems, EHR platforms, and computer tools
