Austin 33 (Nutty Brown/Hwy 290) Dairy - Overnight Stocker - Full time
As a Night Stocker, you'll join a highly-functioning team in the Grocery or Drug Store department, collaborating to meet common goals and embracing the nighttime work lifestyle. You’ll stock a large footprint across multiple departments, gaining product knowledge that can serve as a foundation for future roles and a potential career at H-E-B.
Responsibilities
- Stock shelves and refill displays; load, unload, and move heavy, bulky products; may unload trucks.
- Condition shelves and products, applying product knowledge (e.g., rotation dates, shelf/label info) to meet A+ Standards.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized department, including back rooms and shelves.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and leader direction; ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively, meeting productivity standards and adapting to feedback.
- May train or coach other Stockers.
- Operate with a team mindset, working cross-functionally across departments (e.g., Curbside).
- Assist customers by locating products and answering questions; model customer service and hospitality.
Duties may be modified at any time based on business needs, and employees may be asked to perform other job-related tasks as requested by their supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience in stocking and customer service preferred; physically demanding work experience is a plus.
- Understanding of SOPs related to emergency procedures, stocking, and safety.
- Strong communication (reading/writing), organization, and time-management skills.
- Customer service orientation and ability to work collaboratively to meet nightly goals.
- Ability to perform repetitive, physical tasks, including heavy lifting (specific weight limits vary by department).
- Agility to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and maintain close attention to detail.
- Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
