Austin 15 (Lamar/Rundberg) Cosmetics - Customer Service Rep - Part time

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing a well-stocked and well-maintained department while delivering superior customer service. You'll ensure products are properly rotated and stocked daily, maintaining all department and safety/sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Stocking:
  • Stocks and rotates items as needed
  • Assists with inventory control; loads, unloads, and moves product
  • Organizes, cleans, and prepares the back area for the night crew and incoming trucks
  • Organizes merchandise on pallets to make the department presentable
  • Ensures integrity of shelf tags and signage; may create/prepare signage
  • Maintains standards in shrink, safety, inventory control, and sanitation
  • Checks shipments for out-of-date and damaged products
  • Builds, stocks, maintains, and takes down store displays
  • Performs the duties of Customer Service Assistant as needed
• Customer Service:
  • Provides superior customer service
  • Answers customer questions and assists with product selections
  • Helps customers locate store merchandise
• Sales:
  • Merchandises products effectively
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and build sales
• Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Cleans and sanitizes sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
  • Properly handles and maintains equipment operation
  • Complies with departmental SOPs and store operating procedures
• Department-Specific Responsibilities:
  • Beauty: Knowledge of beauty and cosmetic aids
  • Drugstore / General Merchandise: Prepares tags and signs as needed
  • Grocery: Organizes and prepares the back area for night crew and trucks; prepares tags and signs
  • Texas Backyard: Passion for outdoors; completes Green Thumb training
  • Entertainment: Knowledge of audio/video, specialty products, movies, music, electronics, and video games

Qualifications

• Age Requirement: 18+
• Work Experience:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reading and writing skills
  • Planning and organizing skills
• Education: HS Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Licenses/Certifications: Completion of Company Orientation and Safety Training upon hire
