About the role

Senior level manager with full responsibility and authority for management of large on-site and off-site projects. This position serves as the principal point of contact with clients on off-site projects, based on-site in Erwin, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Propose, plan, execute, and review operations, including preparing schedules and budgets to ensure performance and project objectives are achieved.
• Interface with customers and management to ensure the customer's needs and objectives are met while maximizing benefits to NFS.
• Provide management leadership and technical direction to project teams, including subcontractors.
• Supervise and appraise staff, participating in professional development planning for subordinate employees.
• Solicit appropriate resources from functional groups.
• Communicate and coordinate with support groups such as Health and Safety, Regulatory Compliance, Laboratory, Environmental Services, Engineering, and Technical Services to ensure project goals—including technical, schedule, and budget—are achieved.
• Prepare reports and make presentations to management, clients, and regulators as required.
• Instill a quality performance attitude in project team(s), ensuring compliance with regulatory and Quality Assurance Programs.
• Provide technical support and/or direct liaison for regulatory agency interface on clients' behalf, including presentations to regulatory agencies and providing technical information in response to inspections and investigations.
• Prepare technical and cost proposals for proposed projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a Technical discipline.
• Over ten years of experience in a technical industry, including a minimum of 4 years in chemical process development, operations, design, or environmental services.
• Experience in decommissioning and construction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with staff, management, and clients.
• Proven team leadership, initiative, and decision-making abilities.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee is $131,480 to $207,000 per year. The offered salary may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
