About the Role

Fountain Valley School District will be accepting applications for a 2026–27 Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teacher Eligibility Pool. The EdJoin application will open Monday, August 10, 2026 at 9:00 AM and will be limited to the first 50 completed applications received. Interested candidates are encouraged to prepare their application materials in advance, including documentation clearly demonstrating TK eligibility.

Requirements

• Current California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
• English Learner Authorization
• Documentation of TK Eligibility*:
  • Transcripts verifying 24 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and/or Child Development (CD), or
  • A current California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher, or
  • Documentation of qualifying TK teaching experience or combination of TK, Kindergarten, and/or Lead Preschool teaching experience

  TK eligibility documentation must clearly identify the eligibility pathway being used and include supporting documentation. Please identify/highlight applicable ECE/CD coursework or clearly summarize qualifying experience. Do not rely solely on your resume or application.

Pay

Pay Range: $57,038 - $95,320 Annually
