Auditor de control de calidad

Responsibilities

• Perform production inspections to ensure compliance with design, quality, and customer requirements (first-piece inspections, roaming inspections, final pallet inspections, pallet audit inspections, work cell audits, etc.).
• Conduct qualitative laboratory testing of raw materials to ensure compliance with design, quality, and customer requirements (MFI, density, orientation, moisture, color, visual).
• Perform inspections of received purchased products to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements (raw materials, components, kits, hardware).
• Calibrate inspection and measurement equipment/gauges (calibrations, repairs, record-keeping) according to applicable test methods and standards.
• Manage quality records to ensure compliance with quality and customer requirements (verification, filing, organization, retention).
• Process customer returns (receiving, inspection, disposition, labeling).
• Process non-conforming products to ensure compliance with design, quality, and customer requirements (documentation, containment, identification, sorting management).
• Provide test results to various requesting departments (e.g., Production, Materials Handling, Purchasing, Engineering, Extrusion).
• Enter data for laboratory test results, receiving inspection results, NCR information, dock audits, customer return results, and calibration results.
• Draft and present audit reports to supervisory staff.
• Provide support and/or programming for railcar, silo, and pelletizer processes, as applicable.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is desired.
• Ability to actively participate in problem-solving/quality improvement teams.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
