About the role

Description of Work
- Pension Compliance: Review municipal pension plans to ensure compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Record Evaluation: Analyze financial records and other information related to pension administration.
- Data Management: Create, update, and access audit work papers, findings, and reports.
- Standards Application: Apply laws, regulations, and auditing standards while completing assigned audit tasks.
- Information Analysis: Locate and assess key data needed to complete pension audits.
Qualifications Required
- Minimum Education: Associate degree in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or Bachelor’s degree in the same fields; or Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Additional Requirements: Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License; Ability to perform essential job functions.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as CPA, CFE, CGAP, CGFM, CIA, or CISA.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Home headquartered with a secure high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
- Routine travel to auditee sites across Pennsylvania is required.
Salary
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes).
