About the role

The Weaver Public Sector Audit team is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to lead public sector audits. Key responsibilities include overseeing fieldwork, managing risks, and providing guidance to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day fieldwork and sections of multiple public sector audits
  • Ensure high-quality execution, technical compliance, and team development
  • Own planning, risk assessment, and supervision
  • Review complex areas and serve as a key contact for clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 4-5 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA candidate
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAS, GASB, internal controls, and documentation standards
  • GAGAS (Yellow Book) experience and Uniform Guidance/Single Audit leading experience
  • Experience leading state and local government audits and other public sector engagements
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional client service
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
  • CPA (preferred)
