Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounting and auditing duties including organizing client assignments and projects, the completion of tasks and project components.
- Work with GAAP and common audit procedures and techniques to perform assigned auditing tasks.
- Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete audit/accounting engagement with a minimum disruption to the client.
- Assist in planning the hours and manpower needed on jobs and assist with leading multiple auditing engagements by supporting less senior accounting staff in various levels of each engagement.
- Review work papers and audit reports for accuracy.
- Develop a working knowledge of client business.
- Assist with drafting financial statements, related disclosures and reportable conditions letters for clients.
- Assist with identifying and communicating technical matters as it relates to GAAP to both clients and upper management.
- Perform above duties using programs and tools such as ProSystem Engagement (Audit and Tax) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in accounting, accountancy, or business administration (foreign equivalent degrees accepted) and 2 years’ pre or post-Master’s experience performing public accounting and auditing duties using Advanced Microsoft Excel and ProSystem Engagement.
- Position requires a Texas CPA license.
Pay
Basic annual pay range is seventy-seven thousand eighty-five dollars to one hundred thousand dollars per year for full-time employment and standard company benefits.
