About the role
Reporting to the Director, the Audit Manager will work closely with internal leadership and staff to ensure the timely completion of financial statement audits. Responsibilities include audit planning, walkthroughs, scheduling, review, and presentation of audit findings. The Audit Manager will also play an active role in training, development, and hiring.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple client engagements, managing to budget while delivering exceptional client service.
- Manage key components of audit engagements, including strategy, planning, risk assessment, team management, and execution.
- Provide thought leadership and insightful recommendations on complex business processes and controls.
- Review higher-risk audit areas to ensure technical accuracy, sufficient evidence, and appropriate conclusions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors.
- Develop team members through supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.
- Assist partners and senior leaders in generating new business opportunities and expanding client networks.
- Identify opportunities to better serve clients by understanding Sikich’s service offerings.
- Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining, and training audit professionals.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Deliver exceptional client support both virtually and onsite as needed.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with management responsibilities.
- 3+ years of experience leading teams and audit engagements.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and audit preparation software.
- Strong technical accounting skills with expertise in US GAAP and GAAS.
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit is highly desirable.

Pay
In compliance with state pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $106,502.27 (minimum) to $153,016.50 (maximum), with a midpoint of $131,250.37. Final offer amounts may vary based on experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for Government Services roles are determined by contract with the specific government agency.
