About the role
The Team Vancouver Audit Manager position is open to current employees of the Office of the Washington State Auditor. This role is critical in promoting government accountability, fiscal integrity, and openness.
Duties
- Leading the teams in alignment with the agency mission of promoting government accountability, fiscal integrity and openness;
- Directly responsible for the audit work performed by the team;
- Serving as a critical link between executive management, the team, audit clients, and citizens;
- Setting direction and expectations for their teams;
- Providing an exemplary role model for staff;
- Constantly learning, teaching and coaching.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, accounting, finance or related field;
- A strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, financial statement preparation, legal compliance issues, and federal grant requirements and standards;
- A thorough understanding of management principles and prior supervisory experience.
Required
- Knowledge of authoritative publications and standards including AICPA audit standards and industry guides, GASB pronouncements, FASB regulations, GAAP standards, Washington State RCWs and WACs, federal government audit standards, OMB circulars, CFR rules, and federal agency regulations.
