Audit Manager - Public Sector
About the role
Weaver seeks an Audit Manager to join our Public Sector team. A Weaver Audit Manager is a driven team player who provides excellent service to clients throughout all phases of the audit while developing, training, and mentoring Associates and Senior Associates. An Audit Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development and firm administration activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to clients throughout all phases of the audit
- Develop, train, and mentor Associates and Senior Associates
- Manage and supervise Senior Associates and Associates across a wide variety of industries
- Engage in business development and firm administration activities
- Demonstrate independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience or its equivalent
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff
- Experience in public sector industries such as state and local governments (cities, school districts, counties, water districts), transportation entities (airports or transit authorities), or state agencies
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
