About the role

Are you an experienced Audit Manager with a passion for the non-profit sector? This role is a critical part of our organization, ensuring the financial stability and transparency that our stakeholders and community rely on. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our financial statement audit process. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits for our non-profit organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present audit findings to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Supervise and mentor junior audit staff.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review and update our organization's audit procedures and policies as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns.
  • Provide technical accounting advice to staff and management on complex transactions.
  • Lead and participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in non-profit financial statement audit preparation.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
  • An understanding of the unique financial challenges and regulations within the non-profit sector.

Pay

$110,000 - $150,000 per year
