Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee internal audits and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Identify improper accounting and documentation, and develop proposed corrective actions.
  • Manage and track corrective action plans.
  • Identify and analyze compliance-related trends for review by Vinfen leadership.
  • Make recommendations to improve policies or procedures.
  • Assist Director of Compliance and Lead Internal Auditor in developing and implementing a multi-year audit plan.
  • Maintain mechanisms for tracking the status of all open and closed audits.
  • Conduct regular audits in accordance with industry and regulatory standards and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Travel to assigned program and office locations to conduct audits or investigations.
  • Perform follow-up audits as needed based on findings.
  • Assist in the completion of internal compliance-related investigations.
  • Prepare clear and detailed audit reports identifying necessary corrective actions and assessing risk.
  • Work with Lead Internal Audit to identify trends and root cause analysis, as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to field staff on process improvements.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years’ related experience in auditing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of auditing and monitoring processes and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a professional and confidential capacity.
  • Ability to work on time-sensitive matters.
  • Strong attention to detail skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.

Pay and Benefits
