Engagement Leadership: Lead and manage audit teams, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and firm standards. Oversee resource allocation and audit program development.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic insights and recommendations for improving financial processes and controls.
Audit Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with partners and directors to develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans addressing client-specific risks and objectives.
Audit Execution, Review, and Technical Expertise: Conduct complex audit procedures, review workpapers, and assess audit findings. Monitor progress and provide guidance to resolve challenges and meet milestones.
Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand the firm's client base and service offerings. Contribute to business development activities, including client proposals, presentations, and networking.
Team Development and Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of audit documentation, reports, and conclusions with firm standards and regulations. Implement best practices and methodologies to enhance the quality of audit engagements.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilities
- CPA license is required; equivalent certifications are required for IT audit
- Complete the minimum CPE credit requirement
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in professional service environments, such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar setting
- Additional industry or specialization certifications preferred
