About the role
Audit interns will be responsible for utilizing educational knowledge and experience to perform numerous accounting related responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Shadow members of the accounting department as they perform their duties.
- Assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
- Prepare financial reports and other documents.
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Learn how to work as part of an accounting team to support our firm and clients.
- Additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is required).
- Working towards eligibility to sit for CPA exam upon graduation (150 credits).
- Ability to think independently and make good decisions based on education and experience.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff.
- Ability to prioritize work, follow through on requests, take initiative and meet deadlines.
