About the role
As an intern in Crowe’s Audit and Assurance practice, you’ll gain in-depth exposure to the auditing profession and learn about the day-to-day responsibilities of an auditor. You’ll receive guidance and work closely with experienced audit professionals, while also gaining exposure to issues shaping and affecting the profession today.
During your internship, you’ll sharpen your analytical skills as you audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes. You’ll work independently and collaborate with a diverse group of talented audit professionals to deliver exceptional client service. You will use Crowe’s audit tools and technologies that leverage advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation to analyze client data and enhance the client experience.
Interns will have the opportunity to work as a team member on diverse client engagements, including manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institution clients. You may also work on benefit plan audits of 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.

Audit winter internships typically require a full-time workload of 40 hours per week during business hours (some exceptions may apply). Candidates should consider their course load and school schedule when pursuing this internship.
Responsibilities
- Audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes
- Collaborate with a diverse team of audit professionals to deliver exceptional client service
- Utilize audit tools and technologies with advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation
- Work on diverse client engagements across multiple industries
- Participate in benefit plan audits (e.g., 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans)
- Demonstrate initiative and seek on-the-job learning opportunities
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Accounting or a similar degree
- Scheduled to meet the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license; must fulfill education-related eligibility criteria for the assigned Crowe work location prior to starting full-time (requirements vary by state)
- Proficient with Excel
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience with data analytics is strongly desired
- Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with professionals of all levels
- Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends if needed (Saturday and/or Sunday)

Pay
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $27.00 - $42.00 per hour.
