Audit & Expenditure Officer

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

About the role

This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Business Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and disseminate standardized reporting processes for co-investment audits and expenditure assessments
• Provide technical support and oversight to country teams regarding compliance with audit and expenditure reporting
• Review and assess findings against bilateral health MOU requirements
• Train and build capacity of country teams and partners in best practices
• Coordinate with stakeholders to address audit and finance-related challenges

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Public Health, Finance, International Development, or a related field
• Minimum 7 years of experience in international development and/or global health
• At least 5 years of experience with a multilateral development institution like the World Bank
• Expertise in financial oversight standards and co-financing mechanisms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Familiarity with international donor requirements and bilateral health MOU compliance

Pay

$140,000 – $165,000 annually
