About the role
We are seeking an Audit Director with extensive experience in public accounting and a passion for working with state and local governments. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art clients making a meaningful impact on today’s society and the next generation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Governmental Auditing Standards (GAGAS/Yellow Book), Generally Accepted Audit Standards (GAAS), and the Uniform Guidance.
- Audit state and local governments, including cities, counties, special districts, and charter schools.
- Audit not-for-profit organizations.
- Travel to client and other office locations as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years’ experience in public accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior manager position.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Current and valid CPA license.
- Significant experience auditing state and local governments.
