Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Leading audit engagements in asset management for investment funds in private equity, infrastructure, private credit, venture capital, and real estate asset classes.
• Serving as the key client contact and building trust as a trusted business advisor for clients.
• Growing industry presence in the Mid-Atlantic region and contributing to national and regional initiatives.
• Managing the practice effectively, meeting billing targets, and implementing AI and other technologies to improve efficiency.
• Participating in business development opportunities for CBIZ.
• Ensuring quality control standards are met and aligned with US GAAP and other regulatory guidelines.
• Designing, planning, and reviewing attestation procedures on valuations of investments, interpreting LPA waterfalls, conducting PCAP analyses, and preparing disclosures.
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert in asset management, particularly with ASC 946 investment companies.
• Contributing to research and articles on technical accounting matters and providing insights on new accounting standards and best practices for fund structures.
• Building out staff and fostering a growth mindset within the team.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in public accounting or a related field.
• At least 6 years of supervisory experience.
• Active CPA or equivalent certification is required.
• Proficiency in managing deadlines, handling multiple assignments, and prioritizing tasks.
• Expertise in using applicable technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
• A proven track record of high-level business integrity, client service, and leadership skills.
• The ability to travel based on client and business needs.
