Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, secondaries, and hedge fund strategies.
  • Lead fundraising efforts across the alternatives platform, driving asset growth, advisor engagement, and increased client adoption.
  • Develop and execute regional and national sales strategies to achieve net new asset, fundraising, and revenue objectives.
  • Partner with Wealth Advisors, Investment Counselors, and Private Bankers to identify opportunities within existing client relationships and new client acquisition efforts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to ultra-high-net-worth and family office clients, providing sophisticated portfolio construction guidance and alternatives allocation recommendations.
  • Lead client meetings, investment presentations, prospect discussions, and due diligence sessions with senior investors and key decision-makers.
  • Develop strategic business plans to expand market penetration and improve advisor adoption across alternative investment offerings.
  • Drive advisor education initiatives that increase alternatives knowledge, confidence, and proficiency across the Wealth organization.
  • Design and deliver advanced training programs, roadshows, national webinars, educational forums, and practice management initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior alternatives specialists and sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture and elevating team capabilities.
  • Establish credibility as a leading voice on alternative investments by delivering timely market insights, portfolio solutions, and investment perspectives.
  • Facilitate complex discussions regarding portfolio construction, liquidity management, risk considerations, and alternative investment trends.
  • Maintain ownership of a significant sales pipeline and fundraising calendar, ensuring effective opportunity management and execution.
  • Leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools to identify growth opportunities, advisor behaviors, client trends, and fundraising efficiencies.
  • Analyze asset flows, penetration rates, advisor engagement metrics, and client adoption trends to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Provide senior leadership with actionable insights, performance reporting, business forecasts, and recommendations to enhance commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with regional and national leadership teams to align sales priorities and maximize distribution effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Alternatives & Investment Manager Solutions (AIMS), Investments, and Product teams to shape platform strategy and future product development.
  • Lead fundraising campaigns and product launch initiatives in collaboration with General Partners, investment managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding investor demand, competitive dynamics, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Influence product positioning, advisor communications, and go-to-market strategies to optimize fundraising success.
  • Represent Citi Wealth with external investment managers and strategic partners, strengthening relationships and expanding platform capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior Wealth leadership, investment professionals, product partners, and key external stakeholders.
  • Influence strategic decision-making through market expertise, client insights, and business development experience.
  • Serve as a key liaison between advisors, investment teams, product specialists, and executive leadership.
  • Present regularly to senior management committees on fundraising activity, business performance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure all client, marketing, and fundraising activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory requirements and Citi policies.
  • Demonstrate strong risk awareness and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fiduciary responsibility and client care.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to support appropriate oversight of alternative investment distribution activities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, asset management, alternative investments, capital raising, or institutional sales.
  • Deep understanding of private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, secondaries, and hedge fund investment solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of portfolio construction and the role of alternative investments within diversified client portfolios.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, family offices, and institutional investors.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive presence skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset with demonstrated ability to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Experience leading complex fundraising campaigns, product launches, and advisor engagement initiatives.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with experience leveraging business data and sales metrics to drive outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring junior professionals and influencing cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and results-oriented environment.
  • Licensing (US): Series 7 required, Series 63 required, Series 65 or Series 66 required, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) required.
  • Additional licenses or registrations may be required based on business needs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required, MBA, CFA, CAIA, or other advanced investment-related designation strongly preferred.
