Audit Busy Season Internship — 2027

About the role

Frankel’s internship program is designed to offer a dynamic and engaging experience for aspiring accounting students. The Audit Intern will join our team for Busy Season (January–April 2027), gaining hands-on experience while working collaboratively with professionals on client projects.

The program emphasizes training and mentorship, collaboration, hands-on experience, and flexibility to accommodate your class schedule.

Responsibilities

• Participate in firm-sponsored training sessions to learn software, methodology, and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day audit work for all audit phases in accordance with GAAP.
• Attend client engagement meetings to determine timelines and goals of an audit.
• Research business trends to assist the team in providing solutions to clients.
• Prepare accounting-related reports.
• Perform other audit and accounting duties as needed.
• Network and build relationships across the firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting with plans to sit for the CPA exam.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred.
• Available for full-time employment Fall 2027–2029.
• Available on-site during January–April 2027.
• Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Local students preferred due to the in-person nature of the internship.
