About the role
Frankel’s internship program is designed to offer a dynamic and engaging experience for aspiring accounting students. The Audit Intern will join our team for Busy Season (January–April 2027), gaining hands-on experience while working collaboratively with professionals on client projects.
The program emphasizes training and mentorship, collaboration, hands-on experience, and flexibility to accommodate your class schedule.
Responsibilities
- Participate in firm-sponsored training sessions to learn software, methodology, and procedures.
- Perform day-to-day audit work for all audit phases in accordance with GAAP.
- Attend client engagement meetings to determine timelines and goals of an audit.
- Research business trends to assist the team in providing solutions to clients.
- Prepare accounting-related reports.
- Perform other audit and accounting duties as needed.
- Network and build relationships across the firm.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting with plans to sit for the CPA exam.
- Minimum GPA of 3.2 preferred.
- Available for full-time employment Fall 2027–2029.
- Available on-site during January–April 2027.
- Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Local students preferred due to the in-person nature of the internship.
