Audit & Accounting Specialist - Bethesda, MD; Must have an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organization through detailed audits and compliance checks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough financial audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present findings to senior management, highlighting areas of improvement and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex accounting issues and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting financial operations.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in audit or accounting roles.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial systems and software.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
