About the role

This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Big Bend Sector, Law Enforcement Operational Programs, Strategic Command located in Marfa, TX. Additional selections may be made beyond the total number of vacancies specified using this vacancy announcement.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as an authoritative technical advisor and resource to Audio Visual Production Specialists in medium sectors.
  • Providing assistance in script preparation, creating electronic graphics to enhance presentation, edit videotapes for roll in and review, evaluate and edit finished programs.
  • Creating and maintaining existing database of video imagery used for distribution as B-Roll to media outlets.
  • Providing technical assistance and/or training to staff in a large sector in using the audio/visual equipment and assisting in social media production related tasks.
  • Duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Consulting with clients on general concepts, objectives, and target audiences of projects. Directing video productions by designing sets and lighting, conceiving visuals, selecting music and sound effects. Selecting and directing cameras and movement during taping and editing. Assisting in preparation or graphics and support requirements for production.
