Responsibilities
- Audit and prepare ear mold impressions
- Track hearing aid orders and communicate with vendors
- Monitor supplies and perform routine repairs of hearing aids
- Clean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standards
- Provide chart review and instruct clients in the proper maintenance, cleaning, and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD)
- Communicate and document patient education and reports in the medical record
- Perform cerumen management as needed
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent and training
- One-year experience as Audiology Technician is preferred
- One-year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (such as medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN)
- Dependable, professional, punctual, and must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
- Provide proof of the following tests:
- Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA)
- Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
- Varicella
- Acellular Pertussis
- Influenza
- OSHA regulation concerning occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a PIV security badge
- This position requires passing an extensive background check
