Audiology Technician On-Call

Responsibilities

• Audit and prepare ear mold impressions
• Track hearing aid orders and communicate with vendors
• Monitor supplies and perform routine repairs of hearing aids
• Clean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standards
• Provide chart review and instruct clients in the proper maintenance, cleaning, and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD)
• Communicate and document patient education and reports in the medical record
• Perform cerumen management as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent and training
• One-year experience as Audiology Technician is preferred
• One-year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (such as medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN)
• Dependable, professional, punctual, and must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
• Provide proof of the following tests:
• Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA)
• Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
• Varicella
• Acellular Pertussis
• Influenza
• OSHA regulation concerning occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a PIV security badge
• This position requires passing an extensive background check
