Audiovisual Technician - On Call

About the role

The Audiovisual Technician at The Asbury Hotel is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of audio-visual equipment. This role involves troubleshooting any issues and tearing down equipment post-event, performing load-in/out of band equipment and rental equipment, cabling and gaffing, assisting with band set changes, ensuring all required items are provided to bands, communicating effectively with the production team, hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage, assisting with lighting and audio crew tasks, running professional sound equipment for musicians, checking in/out artists and entertainers, troubleshooting, testing, and resolving technical issues, organizing AV closet during downtime, and daily PA System setup and breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting any issues and tearing down equipment post-event

• Auxiliary duties such as band set changes, ensuring all required items are provided to bands, communicating effectively with the production team, hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage, assisting with lighting and audio crew tasks, running professional sound equipment for musicians, checking in/out artists and entertainers, troubleshooting, testing, and resolving technical issues, organizing AV closet during downtime, and daily PA System setup and breakdown

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Previous work at a live music venue, or comparable experience
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of audio and video technology as well as lighting, with a background in live sound engineering
