About the role

The Audiologist is an excellent opportunity at MultiCare, working with people who have hearing, balance, and related ear problems. Using technology and computers, you will provide essential hearing services to make a daily impact on the lives of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic hearing tests including pure tone air and bone conduction testing, speech audiometry, and impedance audiometry
  • Interpret test results for patients and physicians
  • Make recommendations regarding the need for medical follow-up, hearing aids, ear protection, etc.
  • Conduct hearing aid evaluations to determine the most appropriate amplification for an individual and fit the aids to the patient, providing detailed instruction on operation and maintenance
  • Provide routine maintenance and hearing aid troubleshooting for aids purchased through this office

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required
  • Certified Audiologist License - Washington Board of Hearing and Speech
  • Active bond or security in lieu of bond in the amount of $10,000
  • Successful completion of a master’s or doctorate degree program that includes clinic practicum experience
  • ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification
  • AuD at a board-approved institution (considered to have met professional work experience requirement)
  • Current BLS Certification

Pay

The pay scale is $85,404.80 - $122,928.00 USD. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available with a 24-month commitment.

Schedule

Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
