Audiologist (Outpatient)

About the role

Provides comprehensive audiological diagnostic, rehabilitative, and consultation services in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Conducts audiometric testing including air conduction, bone conduction, speech reception, and electrophysiologic assessments.
• Provides rehabilitative care such as hearing aid evaluation, counseling, and training.
• Performs infant screening, cochlear implant, tinnitus, and central auditory processing evaluations.
• Documents procedures, manages patient records, and communicates with team members.
• Supervises Audiology Technicians and may oversee graduate students.
• Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and participates in community education activities.
• Collaborates with other departments and makes appropriate referrals.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Audiology or Master’s degree if licensed prior to 2007, with active Pennsylvania licensure.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, experience with electrophysiologic testing, and knowledge of aural rehabilitation technologies.
• Leadership abilities for supervising staff and students.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
