About the role
Provides comprehensive audiological diagnostic, rehabilitative, and consultation services in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Conducts audiometric testing including air conduction, bone conduction, speech reception, and electrophysiologic assessments.
- Provides rehabilitative care such as hearing aid evaluation, counseling, and training.
- Performs infant screening, cochlear implant, tinnitus, and central auditory processing evaluations.
- Documents procedures, manages patient records, and communicates with team members.
- Supervises Audiology Technicians and may oversee graduate students.
- Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, and participates in community education activities.
- Collaborates with other departments and makes appropriate referrals.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Audiology or Master’s degree if licensed prior to 2007, with active Pennsylvania licensure.
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills, experience with electrophysiologic testing, and knowledge of aural rehabilitation technologies.
- Leadership abilities for supervising staff and students.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
