Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist
About the role
We are seeking an Audiologist or Hearing Aid Specialist to join our team in Bloomingdale, IL. The position can be either part-time or full-time, with 3-5 days per week availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical expertise to diagnose and treat hearing loss while ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Act in accordance with the required industry and state professional licensing standards.
- Grow your patient population and meet practice financial goals.
- Perform quality care and aftercare of dispensing services such as hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and educate and train hearing aid users on best practices.
- Conduct checks on hearing aids and other amplification devices, including troubleshooting, conducting repairs, and cleaning hearing aids.
- Achieve practice growth with a strong mindset on sales and key business metrics while maintaining ethical practice standards.
- Participate in local community outreach activities like health fairs and develop physician relationships.
- Counsel patients on the purchase of their hearing aids, devices, and accessories.
- Maintain a current understanding of third-party payors and various payment methods in accordance with federal and state laws.
- Work towards achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly clinical finance targets in collaboration with your Practice Clinical Coordinator (PCC) and Manager.
- Support Telehealth initiatives, including conducting hearing tests, coaching, and educating patients on hearing aid devices.
- Maintain continuing education requirements based on state requirements.
- Operate audiometric equipment and interpret results accurately.
- Communicate test results and propose treatment in a manner easily understandable by patients.
Qualifications
- Active Hearing Aid Dispensing License or Audiology License in accordance with state requirements.
- At least 2 years of Hearing Aid sales experience or equivalent industry training under a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) or AuD.

Schedule
3-5 days per week
Pay
Base Salary ranging from $55,000 to $90,000 based on license type and credentials, plus uncapped commission. Relocation assistance is also available.
