Uhring’s Hearing and Balance Audiology Practice in the Central PA area is seeking an Audiologist for their State College, PA location. We are close to all Penn State and State College activities. Elise Uhring (owner) has prior experience as a clinic coordinator and instructor at Penn State University.
About the role
This opportunity provides flexibility, autonomy, and an earning potential of $65-85K annually (based on experience). We encourage our providers to pursue areas in the Audiology field they are passionate about. We are a busy, patient-focused practice that offers a good work/life balance.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM.
Responsibilities
- Establish rapport and gather history from patients, conduct audiometric testing, and make recommendations for hearing aids.
- Fit hearing aids and assist with any adjustments, questions, or problems.
- Dispense accessories including batteries, special products, ALDs, or any other product available through the practice.
- Report patient test results to originating referral source or appropriate staff member for tracking and documentation.
- Support clinic operations by conducting quality control analysis of incoming hearing aids and maintenance of test areas, equipment, and supplies.
- Participate with Cognivue and collaborate with local ENTs in the area.
- Perform Auditory Processing and Tinnitus Evaluations.
- Provide Pediatric Care.
Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in hearing aid dispensing, including programmable hearing aids of major manufacturers.
- Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of patients.
- Must be able and willing to generate referrals from patients and physicians.
- Excellent patient care and follow-up.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective working relationships with a wide range of patients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Proficient with PCs, conventional software packages, and programming software.
- Reasonable problem-solving skills.
- Good time-management skills.
Qualifications
- Au.D doctorate degree or a 4th-year student, licensed or eligible to obtain.
- Desired: 4-year College Degree – Au.D.
- Open to a 4th-year student (stipend will be offered).

Pay
