Department: Briargate and Telstar | Status: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours/week – eligible for benefits. Saturdays are expected initially, with an opportunity to transition off Saturdays later. Shift: 4x10 hour shifts.

About the Role

The Audiologist I provides diagnostic audiological evaluations, interventions, and family/caregiver consultation and education across all settings, including inpatient, outpatient, outreach, and telehealth programs. This is an entry-level position within a Career Advancement Program (CAP).

Responsibilities

  • Provides developmentally appropriate diagnostic evaluations, intervention services, and case management activities consistent with contemporary, evidence-based practice in audiology and department quality assurance standards.
  • Collaborates with families, physicians, schools, educational institutions, and other providers to ensure continuum of care and optimal clinical services in a non-judgmental, mutually respectful manner.
  • Evaluates and treats children from birth to 21 years of age across various diagnoses and specialized programs in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Incorporates principles of cultural competence and family-centered care into clinical services.
  • Demonstrates leadership and participates in systematic, planned professional development to support the clinical, educational, research, and advocacy goals of the department and hospital.
  • Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
  • Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for format, location, and time frames.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Audiology.
  • One (1) year of experience providing pediatric audiology services in a pediatric setting.
  • Current registration and licensure in Audiology by the State of Colorado; credentialing must be completed by the Medical Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Pay

Annual salary range (based on 40 hours worked per week): $87,095.44 to $130,643.17, dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
