About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process. This is a part-time, in-person position with provided equipment for documentation. The role involves assessing approximately 3-6 Veterans daily, typically 2 days per week, and focuses solely on assessments for VA disability determinations—no treatment responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person disability assessments and administer tests such as the Maryland CNC and Puretone Audiometric tests.
- Review and analyze electronic medical records via a secure web portal.
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and document exam findings accurately.
Requirements
- Au.D. degree from an ASHA-accredited school.
- Current licensure as an Audiologist.
- Proficiency in electronic documentation and web-based portals.
- Strong analytical, time management, and empathetic communication skills.
