Responsibilities
- Provide bedside clinical care to patients from the disabled to the elderly in skilled nursing facilities.
- Accurately diagnose and treat hearing conditions.
- Conduct otoscopic exams.
- Diagnose and treat hearing loss using mobile audiology equipment.
- Dispense, program, maintain, and repair hearing aids.
- Cerumen removal.
- Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
- Attend clinics solo; responsible for all electronic progress note documentation and emailing completed notes to facilities.
Requirements
- Provide medical based hearing care – wax removal, tympanometry, hearing tests, hearing aid dispenses.
- Attend clinics solo, responsible for all charting & sending notes to facilities.
- Visit 1-2 homes per day, based on # of residents signed up for our policy.
- Arrive at facility to begin clinic at 9 am, our goal is to see approximately 15 patients per facility.
- Drive of at least 2-hour drive per clinic day (max 2.5 hours).
- Willingness to cover accommodations for overnight stay and a meal if more than 3 hours from home.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of hearing care and related medical procedures.
Benefits
- Compensation is daily rate based on experience, plus mileage.
