Audiologist
About the Role
Aria Care Partners is seeking an Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to provide mobile hearing care to patients in skilled nursing facilities. This part-time, patient-centered role focuses on diagnosing and treating hearing conditions for long-term residents, including the disabled and elderly.
Responsibilities
- Conduct otoscopic exams and diagnose/treat hearing loss using mobile audiology equipment.
- Dispense, program, maintain, and repair hearing aids.
- Perform cerumen removal and recommend appropriate follow-up care.
- Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
- Attend clinics solo, handling all electronic progress note documentation and sending completed notes to facilities.
- Visit 1-2 skilled nursing facilities per day (not assisted living), seeing approximately 15 patients per facility.
- Arrive at facilities by 9 am and manage a schedule with up to a 2.5-hour drive per clinic day.
Requirements
- Provide medical-based hearing care, including wax removal, tympanometry, hearing tests, and hearing aid dispenses.
- Ability to work solo, handling all charting and facility communications independently.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (daily drive of up to 2.5 hours required).
- Willingness to travel overnight for clinics over 3 hours from home (accommodations and meals covered).
Pay
Compensation is a daily rate based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement.
Schedule
- Part-time, 2 days per week.
- Flexible scheduling with no sales quotas.
