Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, is seeking part-time Audio-Visual Technician team members for our Operations department at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, KY. This role is event-based, with labor needs varying weekly and per event. Schedules and hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair facility and client audio, video, and technical systems, including sound, video, and broadcast equipment.
  • Set up, monitor, and maintain technical equipment such as audio, video, and scoreboard operations.
  • Provide installation and repairs for cable feeds, audio, and video systems, whether event-related or structural.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable codes for cable insulation, ceiling plenum routing, wall penetration, and fire-rated conduit raceways.
  • Troubleshoot routine technical problems in the field.
  • Use test equipment to verify and diagnose issues with facility systems.
  • Read, understand, and communicate client floor plan layouts.
  • Maintain inventory of all audio and video equipment.
  • Coordinate work with all operations sections and interface effectively with users, providers, and peers.
  • Adhere to Legends Global policies in performing job duties.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, repair, and inventory management.
  • Provide event standby support and troubleshoot technical problems in real-time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college or technical school degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of previous Audio/Video experience.
  • Ability to identify and terminate all forms of audio and video connections (consumer, professional, or broadcast level).
  • Extensive knowledge of signal flow for both audio and video applications.
  • Working knowledge of wireless systems and frequencies.
  • Understanding of digital vs. analog signals in audio and video.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience installing patch bays, switchers, mixers, and converters in audio and video applications.
  • Sufficient hearing to clearly hear voices, alarms, bells, and horns.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Basic computer knowledge.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to climb and work from lifts, ladders, or catwalks for extended periods, multiple times per day.
  • Capable of walking and/or standing for 8–14 hours daily.
  • Ability to kneel, climb to walkways, balance, and frequently lift over 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to extreme noise during events.
