Audio/Visual Sales Representative - Southeast Region

Responsibilities
- Leverage sales experience to strategically build relationships by understanding and successfully articulating the benefits of indoor LED displays compared to other technologies such as video walls and projection systems.
- Proactively cold call AV Integrators to educate on Daktronics products and create interest in reselling our display systems.
- Utilize Daktronics guidelines to develop AV Integrator Sales Partners and onboard target integrators, adjusting strategy as needed to deepen relationships.
- Collaborate with the AV Sales team to gather market intelligence, effective strategies, competitor updates, and industry practices, sharing insights during team meetings.
- Understand project and customer needs, organizing and involving appropriate sales and support teams (e.g., Project Management, Application Engineering, Legal, Accounting) to best support the customer.
- Develop and present dynamic presentations in various settings, including military briefings, media companies, architects, construction companies, and corporate business settings.
- Plan, prioritize, and document sales activities, including frequent travel for customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, cold calls, and planned calls.
- Utilize Salesforce to develop lists and schedules, proactively follow up on new leads and tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Apply Challenger Sales concepts in the selling process and use Salesforce daily to manage accounts, sales opportunities, leads, and customer management functions.
- Participate in Factory Certified training program to learn NPN installation techniques and requirements, and assist with NPN installations to develop a deep understanding of equipment and installation skills.
- Explain and demonstrate to AV Integrators how NPN and Speedframe systems install and operate, and leverage Daktronics experience to teach how Integrator-provided control systems connect to NPN displays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, technical area, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.
- Must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy (verified through a motor vehicle record check).
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position).
Skills
- Curious, strategic thinking with the ability to develop an understanding of the AV Integrator business and discuss industry trends.
- Ability to earn trust and build relationship depth with each AV Integrator.
- Develop knowledge in control systems and integration, indoor high LED display products, installation requirements, service and support systems, and logistics.
- Ability to thrive in challenging environments and situations.
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and LinkedIn.
- Daily/weekly utilization of Salesforce to manage accounts (previous experience with Salesforce is a plus).
Desired Traits
- 3-5 years of field sales experience, including negotiating and purchase agreements.
- Experience selling to or working in the Audio-Visual Industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with sales partners.
Location
This position allows the flexibility to work remote from a home office within the Southeast Region (Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee) of the U.S.
