Audio/Visual Sales Representative - New England Region

About the role
As part of the Daktronics team, you’ll have interesting, impactful work with flexible opportunities. You’ll leverage sales experience to strategically build relationships with AV Integrators, educating them on Daktronics products and creating interest in reselling our display systems.
Responsibilities
- Understand and articulate the benefits of indoor LED displays compared to other technologies such as video walls and projection systems.
- Proactively cold call AV Integrators to educate on Daktronics products and develop reseller interest.
- Utilize Daktronics guidelines to develop AV Integrator Sales Partners and onboard target integrators.
- Collaborate with the AV Sales team to gather market intelligence, competitor updates, and industry best practices.
- Understand project and customer needs, organizing and involving appropriate sales and support teams (e.g., Project Management, Application Engineering, Legal, Accounting).
- Develop and present dynamic presentations in settings such as military briefings, media companies, architects, construction companies, and corporate businesses.
- Plan, prioritize, and document sales activities, including travel for customer meetings, presentations, trade shows, and cold calls.
- Utilize Salesforce to manage accounts, sales opportunities, leads, and customer relationships.
- Apply Challenger Sales concepts in the selling process.
- Participate in Factory Certified training to learn NPN installation techniques and assist with installations to develop a deep understanding of equipment.
- Explain and demonstrate to AV Integrators how NPN and Speedframe systems install and operate, including basic control system operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, technical area, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.
- Must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy (verified through a motor vehicle record check).
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (Daktronics does not sponsor, renew, or extend immigration visas for this position).

- Ability to develop relationship depth with AV Integrators and build a network within and outside the organization.
- Collaborate with other Daktronics sales teams to support sales through AV Partners.

- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce, and LinkedIn.
- Daily/weekly utilization of Salesforce to manage accounts.
Qualifications
Desired Traits:
- Three to five (3-5) years of field sales experience, including negotiating and purchase agreements.
- Experience selling to or working in the Audio-Visual Industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with sales partners.
- Previous experience using Salesforce.
Pay
The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 to $140,000 annually, based on location within the U.S. New England Region. This position is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration. The actual offer will consider education, experience, location, and applicable local legislation.

Schedule
